Rebel leader and Saboteurs

Hello. This time I have only small picture about my latest paintings. I have painted Leia and couple of rebel saboteurs from Star Wars range. This minis aren't even close to my best paintings. Also I had some big problems taking the picture. The light was all bad all the time. I really have to start learning about taking photographs or build a good studio for minis.

When I had to paint two same miniatures I started to haste. I had to paint both of them same time and I really noticed myself not to give same amount time for each miniature. So the result is poor. Here is the picture and you can tell what you think about my paintings.

I'm back on painting Star Wars miniatures. This time I have painted a smooth gambler and smuggler Lando Calrissian. This miniature was very fun to paint because of the colorful shirt. This miniature is in very nice pose giving hint of characters personality.

I have to say that I'm fun of Mordheim and Necromunda but these SW miniatures have giving me more colorful approach to the painting. I don't usually use so bright colors. Also it have given me some more motivation to paint more. I very exited to paint some more Star Wars.

Lando is one of my favourite SW model what I have painted and I have named it as "Disco Stu".

Look Sir! Droids!

In Star Wars movie episode IV a Storm trooper finds some metal parts on desert and say "Look Sir! Droids! Well I have painted these two identifiable droids. R2-D2 and C-3PO as they were in that episode. I have painted a silver leg and some dirt from straining bolt.

Well I like to have more these droids and paint some more of these with variable color. But I still have lots of other Star wars to paint.

Infamous Bounty Hunter Boba Fett in color

Hello. If you read my last writing I promised soon some very well known bounty hunter. Here is my painted version of Infamous Bounty Hunter Boba Fett. Model is from FFG:n imperial assault board game.

I think I did capture the right colors. I had to mix 5 different colors to paint Boba. Armor, jet pack, shoes, jumpsuit, Only the gun and the cape is present paint colors. It took mos time to just paint and mix the base colors. I think I painted the base colors over two hours.

Well I really enjoy painting these Star Wars miniatures. I took couple of pictures to show this miniature. I'm very happy with the result.

Millennium Falcon Crew

Hello. I'm painting more and more FFG Imperial Assault miniatures. Here is the Millennium Falcon crew. The Pilot Han Solo and he's Co-pilot and mechanic Chewbacca.

I like the sculpts of these two miniatures. They are just like the real Solo and Chewbacca.

I tested some new techniques on Chewbacca fur and I like the result.

Painted some more Star Wars from FFG range. It did not took much of time to paint the IG-88 assault droid. To me it looks more like the Bender from Futurama tv show. 

Well it is the nice add to the game.

SW: Bold Renegade

Here is the last one Imperial assault miniature painted. The Bold Renegade Mak Eshka'rey.

Painting this inspired me to paint some more Imperial Assault miniatures. Luckily they have punch of DLC packs!

A Farmer and a Veteran soldier

Well I managed to get finally some matt varnish to finish off some Star Wars Imperial assault miniatures.

Well I have painted to more minis and I have only one left to paint to get full board game in color.

The farmer boy Luke Skywalker is painted like he is first appeared in the movies. Robes and a blaster. Well he had a blaster only after he  infiltrated the imperial star ship. Anyway I painted the base with desert. It looked more nicely that way.

When I have all painted up I will take some pictures with all heroes and empire figures.

Darth Vader

I decided to paint Darth Vader from Imperial assault board game. Well everything was fine until my varnish spray can decided to stop working during spraying. So the spraying did not do the smooth finish on the mini.

Well It took about three ours to paint this Lord. I am happy with the result. Watch out Luke you are next.

SW: Sly Smuggler Jyn Odan

Here is my next Star Wars Imperial assault hero Jyn Odan. She is referred as Sly Smuggler. I like the colorful jacket. I'm not happy about this paint job. I would give to myself 6/10 for this. 

Well this is a board game piece so the bad paint job is not the issue... I still have three more heroes to go!

Haunted Exile Diala Passil

My next Imperial assault figure is Diala Passil hero. Well this figure went wrong. I just painted it wrong. I'm not happy with it. Well it is ok, but it ain't the best figure what I have painted and I would done it better. So I was little hasty with this one... Because I'm building more Necromunda and my coal is to paint rest 4 heroes before x-mas.

On mennyt kaksi viikkoa, kun lupasin, että tulisi yksi sankari viikossa. Vai onko mennyt jo kolme viikkoa? No joka tapauksessa Imperial assault lautapelin ensimmäinen sankari sai maalit. Kyseessä wookie Gaarkhan. Näyttää vähän Chewielta, mutta tällekin on oma figunsa. Toivottavasti saan vielä muutaman sankarin maaleihein ennen joulua.

It's has been two weeks when I promides that I will paint one hero per week. Or is it already tree weeks? Well anyway here is Imperial assault boardgame first hero figure with paint. Hero is wookie warrior Gaarkhan. Looks like Chewie but it not. Chewie has own model. Hope I can paint couble more figures before x-mas.

Star Wars fluffy and slimy

Kesäloma vei aikaa paljon maalauksesta, mutta olen päättänyt maalata Imperial assault lautapelin figuurit ja tätä projektia en ajatellut jättää kesken. Imperiumin joukot ovat saaneet jo maalit pintaan ja nyt neljä palkkasoturia ja pari karvaturria sai värit tällä kertaa.

Vain kuusi sankari figuuria on enää maalaamatta. Tavoite olisi, että yksi sankari viikossa tai jopa nopeammin! Tavoite on myös kirjoittaa blogiteksti, jokaisesta maalatusta sankarista.

Aikaa tosin ei kovin paljon enempää ole maalata sankareita, koska vain noin kuukausi ja joudun uppoutumaan ydin tuhon jälkeiseen maailmaan.

Summer took some time from painting. Even so I have decided to paint all models from Imperial Assault board game. Empire troops have colors and now I have finished to paint Scum and villains. Four mercs and two Nexus. 

There is only six heroes left and my goal is to paint one hero per week or even more. My secondary objective is to write a also one text for each painted hero. 

I reallu don't have more time than one month to paint these heroes. After one month I'm heading to post-apocalyptic nuclear wasteland... And then I really have no time to paint...

Paraatijoukot valmiina!

Terve. Olen maalaillut sivuprojektina Fantasy Flight Gamen Star Wars Imperial Assault -lautapelin figuureita.

Figuureita tulee suurimäärä laatikon mukana. Useita imperiumin joukkoja, kuten storm trooppereita, johtajia, droideja, kävelijä... Kyllä! Suuri AT-ST kävelijä, joka on yksi heinoimmista malleista. Lisäksi muutamia sankareita sekä Luke ja Vader.

Mallit ovat enemmän lelukaupan muovisotilaan tyylisiä muoviltaan ja saumoiltaan. Osa saumoista on todella rasittavia ja eikä niitä pysty poistamaan kunnolla tuhoamatta jotain yksityiskohtia. Osassa oli jopa valuvirheitä. Mutta tämä ei haitta, koska kyseessä on lautapeli ja figuureita ei ole pääsääntöisesti tarkoitettu maalattavaksi. Mutta käsittääkseni figuurit ovat kuitenkin hyvin tehtyjä, joka taupauksessa ja maalattuina ne ovat vielä hienompia ja tuovat niihin eloa.

Projekti on ollut hyvä. Olen oppinut uusia maalaustapoja ja alustanteko tapoja.

Olen tehnyt figuureille aavikko, metsä tai laitosmaisen alustan pelilaattojen mukaan. Samoin niiden perusteella pystyy erottamaan joukot toisistaan.

Hello I have been painting Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars Imperial Assaul -boardgame models. 

There is many figures inside the box. Many Empire troops like Strom Troopers, leader, Droids, walker... Yes! An AT-ST walker, which is one of the finest models and also some heroes, Luke and Lord Vader. 

Models are more like toys soldiers from toy shop. There some molding edges. Some edges are really pain in the a*s. You can't remove these mold edges destroying the details. Some models were miss cast. It doesn't matter because these figures are meant to use as board game pieces and not directly model figures. Anyway the figures are nicely done and painting them bring them really alive! 

Project was good because I learned some new painting  and basing techniques 

I have done desert, forest or station kind bases simulating the gaming board. Also I can separate these figure from each another.
